MD-IDEX is why everyone comes to the Industry Summit! Where
else can you meet with ten different company executives in one
location? The Manufacturer-Distributor Idea Exchange (MD-IDEX)
offers distributors and manufacturers a time- and cost-effective
opportunity to meet face-to-face with current and potential business
partners.
What exactly is MD-IDEX? Some have described it as speed dating
for industry executives. MD-IDEX offers PTDA manufacturer members
the opportunity to reserve “offices” in the ballroom at the
Loews Miami Beach Hotel to hold one-on-one meetings with current and
potential distributors.

MD-IDEX features two components to bring together
top-level industry executives:

The first component is scheduled appointments.
There are 10 appointments of 20 minutes each. In 2008, the first
three appointments will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.; the
remaining seven appointments will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:50
p.m. Appointment scheduling is done online. More information
about online scheduling will be available by July.

The second component is open time. From 9:00
a.m. to 10:30 a.m., distributors walk the floor of the MD-IDEX, meeting
with manufacturers in a free-flow format: This is a unique chance to
check out a new product line or talk to a potential new distributor
without the formality of a scheduled meeting or the informality of a
tradeshow.
